Eduardo Sánchez
I'm a PhD Student at the UCL NLP Group and a Research Scientist at Meta. I'm co-supervised by Mikel Artetxe, Pontus Stenetorp and Marta R. Costa-jussà. I'm interested in low-resource languages and large language models.
I work on multilingual NLP with a simple goal: make language technology useful for more people, not just for high-resource languages. On this site I share my papers, talks, and ongoing work around robust evaluation, translation quality, and cross-lingual fairness. A few projects I’m especially excited about are cross-lingual toxicity detection with translation-aware methods, hallucination detection for machine translation, and Linguini, a benchmark for language-agnostic reasoning. If you’re interested in multilingual evaluation, low-resource adaptation, or safer language systems, feel free to reach out. You can also browse Publications, Talks, and my CV.
